Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Ford Focus, we're going to be installing Roadmaster's Tail Light Wiring Kit, part number RM-152-LED. In conjunction with that, we're going to be using Roadmaster's 7 Wire to 6 Wire Straight Cord Kit, part number, RM-98146-7. Speaker 2: This bold and socket kit is going to allow us to transfer those lighting signals from our RV back to our vehicle without tapping into the vehicle's wiring in any way whatsoever. Each bulb that is installed in your tail lamps, are going to have its own dedicated circuits that go up to the 6-volt connector at the front of your vehicle. It's going to give you your signals which includes your left turn, right turn, tail lamps, and brake lamps. And what's nice about this, is that it won't void any warranty issues with electrical because you're not actually tapping into any electrical systems. The kit includes long lasting LED bulbs, which are going to be ultra bright. So you'll guarantee that the people behind you will be able to tell what you're signaling. And we use Roadmaster's Kit to get our signals from our RV back to our added LED bulbs, using a straight six to seven pull wire, and a six pull connector here. Now there are some other options out there. You could get a coiled wire, which is kind of nice, because it can stretch and it can help keep it up off the ground. more

Speaker 1: Here on this 2017 Ford Focus, we're going to be having a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster diode seven-wire to six-wire Flexo-coil wiring kit, part number RM-15267. We're utilizing our factory light bulbs in the vehicle to give ourselves our turn signals, our brake lights, and our tail lights. This way, our vehicle is safe and legal as we're towing it behind our motor home. Now, what's great about these, the dial packs are also going to allow voltage to only travel in one direction. It's going to leave your motor home or your vehicle and go to the light bulb. When you have your motor home hooked up, you don't have to worry about the voltage going back through the vehicle's wiring, causing damage to any expensive electrical components inside the vehicle. We have this seven to six-way included umbilical cable, which is coiled, so it'll stretch as our vehicle goes around turns following our motor home.We don't have to worry about it dragging on the ground this way either, causing damage to it. more

Speaker 1: Today on this 2017 Ford Focus we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the RoadMaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, part number RM-152. Here's what our diodes look like installed. Now, many of our customers have asked us which wiring is the best option available for them without causing harm to the vehicle, especially on a vehicle that has a separate turn signal bulb in the brake light and tail light. By using these diodes here, we don't have to worry about the vehicle having a separate turn signal than the brake light. This will turn our vehicle almost into a trailer where the tail light and brake light and turn signal can all be ran off of one bulb. These diode packs allow us to tap into our vehicle's factory lighting system without having to worry about causing any damage from electrical back feed from the motor home into this components on our vehicle. The diodes prevent the electricity from flowing towards any of the electrical components. more

Best 2018 Ford Focus Tow Bar Wiring Options

Speaker 1: Today, we're going to be taking a look at the best tow bar wiring options for your 2018 Ford Focus.Whenever we're flat-towing our Focus, it's very important that the light functions on our motor home transfer over to our Focus, so everybody knows what's going on, whether we're slowing down and the brake lights come on, or if we turn our turn signal on to change lanes. There's going to be three basic types of lighting options that we're going to have available for our focus, so we'll take a closer look at those and go over some of the features. So the first style we're going to have is the diode style. Then the bulb and socket, and then finally, the removable lights. Now, the removable lights, there are a lot of different options available, and these are the tried-and-true versions that you may have seen a lot either on vehicles or on trailers. The basic way that these are going to work, is these lights typically have magnets on them. We'll mount them to the back of our vehicle, and then we'll have the length of wire that will run along the car and match up to our motor home. The big benefits of these is; is that it is going to be an external thing, and it's not going to be a permanent installation. more

Speaker 1: Toady on our 2014 Ford Focus we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster diode seven wire to six wire Flexo-Coil wiring kit, part number RM-15267. This is gonna allow our Focus to accept the signals from our motor home for our brakes, turn signals, and taillights. It's gonna give us a six pin round connector on the front and it's gonna come with a six to a seven cord to connect to the front of our vehicle and the back of our motor home. Now the big benefit of having the diode kit in our vehicle is it's gonna alleviate the need for the big magnetic lights you see going down the road and running the wire along the edge of our car and potentially scratching it up as we drive down the road. Instead we're gonna be tapping into our factor lighting system and there's gonna be some diodes so it is gonna protect our vehicle against anything that may go wrong on the motor home end.Now since it is gonna be using our factory system I do want to mention that since our Focus has a separate turn signal from the brake the way we're gonna be wiring it up is the brake is actually gonna become our turn signal when we're flat towing it with our motor home. When we're driving it normally all of our lights are gonna function properly and we're not gonna have to worry about anything else. Now that we've see what our wiring looks like and kind of gone over some of the features let's show you how to get it installed. Now for our wiring I'm gonna start up top and since we have our fascia and headlight removed it's gonna make it a lot easier to get to the front of the vehicle. more
